Women’s pottery from the Rif, whose roots go back to the Neolithic, is considered part of the World Cultural Heritage, due to its great anthropological artistic value. In the Taounate province, though risking disappearing, remained five of their most interesting expressions: Slèss, M’tioua, Beni Zeroual, Mezraoua and Haouara. The project carried out by INNOVARTE, aimed at preserving this trade, being the revival of all the repertoires its main task. It also included improving craft women’s working conditions.
