The project “Needles from Trinidad” was promoted by the Crafts National Centre of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Heritage and the UNESCO Cultural Office in the region. Its main aim was to train craftsmen and women from Trinidad on design and commercialization. INNOVARTE was chosen by the UNESCO as a partner in this project, being our commitment to propose new lines of products in fashion and home decoration. This unprecedented iniciative brougtht together in the city of Trinidad the most prestigious Cuban designers and dressmakers as well as the artisans who keep this valuable traditional craftwork, of Canarian origin.
